Trinidad and Tobago's forward Levi Garcia is now officially a Spartak Moscow player, joining the 10-time Russian champions on a deal that runs until June 2028.
Spartak made the announcement via their official Instagram account on Friday morning, with Garcia already pictured in the club's uniform after completing the move from Greek side AEK Athens for a reported 18.70 million euros.
Talk of Garcia's departure from AEK began circulating earlier this week after the club left him out of its squad for Sunday's Greek Super League trip to PAOK.
Garcia, 27, confirmed to Guardian Media Sports on Monday that he subsequently travelled to Barcelona, Spain, for a medical, with Spartak reported to be his next destination.
Garcia joined AEK in 2020, scoring 56 goals in 160 appearances in all competitions, winning one Greek Super League (2022-2023) and one Greek Cup (2022-2023). Following that successful 2022-2023 season, major interest came in from several clubs in top European leagues, including Spain's Villarreal, Celtic of Scotland, and French side Lens, who had several bids rejected by AEK.
He subsequently signed a new contract with AEK in a deal that was set to keep him at the club until 2028.
