Na­tion­al Un­der-17 strik­ers Orielle Mar­tin and Rashe­da Archer are among ten mem­bers of the suc­cess­ful Ayan­na Rus­sell-coached team which qual­i­fied from the Group B four-team Con­ca­caf U-17 Girls Cham­pi­onship to the Fi­nal Round World Cup qual­i­fiers, se­lect­ed by coach Der­nelle Mas­call in the na­tion­al U-20 women's team.

Mas­call named her 21-mem­ber for the Con­ca­caf U-20 Women's Qual­i­fy­ing Cham­pi­onship Group B four-team qual­i­fiers to al­so be con­test­ed at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um in Cou­va against Cana­da, Bermu­da, and Do­mini­ca.

In ad­di­tion to Mar­tin of Bish­op Anstey East High School and Archer of South East Port-of-Spain Sec­ondary, the oth­er play­ers who were part of last month's U-17 team and se­lect­ed by Mas­call in­clude the trio of goal­keep­ers Eng­land-based Zaira Aimey of Welling Utd FC, Zofia Richards and Ken­isha Tay­lor, de­fend­ers Hac­k­eemar Goodridge and Mikaela Year­wood, mid­field­ers Che­ri­na Steele, and Ty'Kaiya Den­nis as well as strik­er Madi­son Camp­bell.

T&T will open their cam­paign in the sec­ond match of a dou­ble-head­er at Cou­va on Feb­ru­ary 21 against Bermu­da from 6 pm, af­ter Cana­da and Do­mini­ca kick off the group se­ries three hours ear­li­er.

The So­ca Princess­es will then face Do­mini­ca on Feb­ru­ary 23 al­so from 6 pm with Bermu­da and Cana­da meet­ing in the open­er from 3 pm be­fore the fi­nal day of match­es on Feb­ru­ary 25, which will see T&T and Cana­da go­ing head-to-head from 6 pm in what is ex­pect­ed to be the group de­cider.

At the end of round-robin play, the first-place team from each group (six teams in to­tal) will ad­vance to the 2025 Con­ca­caf U-20 Women’s Cham­pi­onship join­ing the two pre-seed­ed top-ranked na­tions, USA and Mex­i­co. 

Group F of the Con­ca­caf U-20 Women's qual­i­fiers in­volv­ing Cos­ta Ri­ca, Guatemala, the Cay­man Is­lands, and Aru­ba will al­so be con­test­ed at Cou­va from Feb­ru­ary 20 un­til Feb­ru­ary 24. 

The four re­main­ing qual­i­fy­ing se­ries will see An­tigua and Bar­bu­da host Group A, the Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic en­ter­tains Groups B and C, and Nicaragua will wel­come the Group D na­tions.

The oth­er groups will fea­ture Group A (Haiti, Guyana, Be­lize, An­tigua & Bar­bu­da); Group B (Puer­to Ri­co, El Sal­vador, Hon­duras, US Vir­gin Is­lands); Group C (Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic, Pana­ma, Cu­ba, Bonaire); and Group D (Ja­maica, Nicaragua, St Kitts & Nevis, St Vin­cent & the Grenadines). 

The Cham­pi­onship Stage will in­clude eight CON­CA­CAF Mem­ber As­so­ci­a­tions and be played in a to-be-con­firmed cen­tralised venue in May. 

The eight teams will be split in­to two groups of four each, from which the group win­ners and run­ners-up will ad­vance to the semi­fi­nals and qual­i­fy for the 2026 FI­FA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. 

The semi­fi­nal win­ners will ad­vance to the fi­nal, where the cham­pi­on will be crowned.

In the pre­vi­ous edi­tion of the CON­CA­CAF U-20 Women’s Cham­pi­onship, played in the Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic in 2023, Mex­i­co de­feat­ed the USA 2-1 in the fi­nal, earn­ing their sec­ond ti­tle at this age lev­el.
