KINGSTON, Jamaica – Grand Slam Track, the premier global platform for professional track competition founded by four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson, has officially revealed the first wave of Challengers set to compete at the Kingston Slam.
The event will take place from April 4–6 at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
The newly announced Challengers include some of the sport’s brightest stars namely, Tokyo Olympic 110 hurdles champion Hansle Parchment, Budapest World Champion in the 100m hurdles, Danielle Williams, Jamaican National Champion in the 400m hurdles Malik James-King, World U20 Champion in the 100m and 4x100m relay Alana Reid, Olympic Finalist in the 110m hurdles, Orlando Bennett and Olympic Finalist in the 400m hurdles Shiann Salmon.
These elite athletes will join an already star-studded lineup of 48 Racers previously announced for the Kingston Slam. The roster features global track and field icons such as USA’s Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas, Fred Kerley, Kenny Bednarek, Josh Kerr, and Marileidy Paulino of the Dominica Republic.
The competition promises to deliver world-class performances across a range of disciplines, from sprints and hurdles to middle-distance and relay events.
