SOUTH CAROLINA – St Lucia’s sprint queen Julien Alfred continued her record-breaking ways when she set a new national indoor 400 metres record at the Tiger Paw Invitational in South Carolina in the United States on Friday.
The 23-year-old Alfred crossed the finish line in 52.97 seconds to win Heat 4.
Her performance comes just days after she set a new national record in the 300 metres while competing at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston, where she clocked 36.16 seconds, smashing her own national record and clocking the 15th fastest time in history for the event.
Alfred is also the holder of the women’s 100 (10.72) and 200m (22.08) national records, which she set at the 2024 Paris Olympics where she won gold and silver respectively.
