Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, will be out of the jurisdiction until Wednesday, June 24, 2026, to attend the funeral of a family member overseas.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John, MP, will act as Prime Minister.
The overseas travel and Minister John’s extra assignment were confirmed in a post on the Prime Minister’s official Facebook page.
