Op­po­si­tion Leader, Kam­la Per­sad-Bies­sas­sar, has an­nounced Bar­ry Padarath will be the UNC’s prospec­tive can­di­date for Cou­va South.

He re­places in­cum­bent UNC MP, Rudranath In­dars­ingh. It is un­clear whether In­dars­ingh will be mov­ing to an­oth­er seat or has been re­moved al­to­geth­er.

Padarath has served as Princes Town MP since Sep­tem­ber 2015. The Op­po­si­tion Leader al­so an­nounced Dr Aiy­na Ali as the UNC’s Princes Town prospec­tive can­di­date.
