A man said to be a soldier is feared to have drowned at Maracas Bay yesterday.
Police said they received a report that a man was swimming at the beach when he got into difficulty while bathing and went underwater.
All efforts to find him proved futile and law enforcement officials were notified.
Up to late Tuesday evening the man was not found.
