Homi­cide de­tec­tives are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two mur­ders that oc­curred overnight in La Ro­maine and Pe­nal.

Po­lice said that around 10:30 p.m., 31-year-old Zaid Mo­hammed scuf­fled with three oc­cu­pants, in­clud­ing a woman, in­side a sil­ver Almera that had stopped near Roset­ta Dri­ve along Dum­fries Road in La Ro­maine.

Mo­hammed ex­it­ed the car, but it rolled over him and then crashed in­to a drain.

He got up and limped a short dis­tance be­fore col­laps­ing and dy­ing.

His at­tack­ers left in the car.

Mean­while, po­lice said that short­ly af­ter mid­night, some­one found the body of 60-year-old Lucky Jagdeo, al­so known as Pam, in a riv­er.

Po­lice said Jagdeo had been lim­ing with the sus­pect in a shed near the river­bank on the SANSEE Com­plex com­pound in San Fran­cique while con­sum­ing al­co­hol.

The sus­pect be­gan ar­gu­ing with Jagdeo and beat him. An­oth­er man tried to in­ter­vene but was chased off. Some­time lat­er, some­one found Jagdeo float­ing in the riv­er.

Po­lice have de­tained a sus­pect. Of­fi­cers of Homi­cide Bu­reau 3 are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
