Cab­i­net has ap­point­ed a com­mit­tee to in­ves­ti­gate al­le­ga­tions of mis­con­duct with­in the Civil­ian Con­ser­va­tion Corps (CCC) Pro­gramme.

Min­is­ter of Youth De­vel­op­ment and Na­tion­al Ser­vice, Fos­ter Cum­mings pre­sent­ed Let­ters of Ap­point­ment to Com­mit­tee mem­bers to­day.

The Cab­i­net-ap­proved Com­mit­tee, chaired by Colonel (Ret.) Lyle Alexan­der, in­cludes Re­tired Squadron Leader Anush­ca Archan and Dr. Michael Seales.

Cum­mings said youth de­vel­op­ment and ef­fi­cient ser­vice de­liv­ery are top pri­or­i­ties.

"The pro­vi­sion of safe spaces, peace­ful com­mu­ni­ties, and en­vi­ron­ments ... are top pri­or­i­ties un­der the Min­istry of Youth De­vel­op­ment and Na­tion­al Ser­vice," he said.

The Com­mit­tee will gath­er ev­i­dence, con­duct in­ter­views, and sub­mit a re­port with rec­om­men­da­tions with­in a month to en­sure the pro­gram re­mains ef­fec­tive and ac­ces­si­ble to the youth of Trinidad and To­ba­go.
