A Woodland man charged with seven counts of sexual offences against a ten-year-old girl has been denied bail after appearing before a San Fernando Magistrate.
The accused, Raffie Mohammed, 40, of La Fortune Road, appeared before Master Whitney Franklin in a San Fernando Court on Wednesday but was not called upon to plead. He will remain in State custody, until a sufficiency hearing on August 19.
According to a report, Mohammed faces four counts of sexual penetration of a minor, two counts of sexual touching of a minor and one count of sexual grooming of a minor. The incidents occurred between October 8, 2024 and February 2, 2025.
Following a report to San Fernando Police, Cpl Huggins led investigations and arrested Mohammed at his home on February 4 and subsequently laid the charges.
Sgt Seecharan supervised the investigation, with legal advice from attorney Reagan Ramanan.
