Born in Ma­tu­ri­ta, Ari­ma, Brig­gs grew up with her aunt and un­cle fol­low­ing her par­ents’ sep­a­ra­tion at a young age. While her fa­ther lived in Cana­da, Brig­gs spent many of her ear­li­er years in­ter­mit­tent­ly with her moth­er and fa­ther.
