(CNN) — Cris­tiano Ronal­do has test­ed pos­i­tive for coro­n­avirus, the Por­tuguese Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion said in a state­ment Tues­day.

The Bar­keep­ers and Op­er­a­tors As­so­ci­a­tion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (BOATT) wants Gov­ern­ment to lift re­stric­tions on bars and restau­rants, fol­low­ing the lat­est ad­vice from the World Health Or­gan­i­sa­tion (WHO) on lock­downs.

The Bar­keep­ers and Op­er­a­tors As­so­ci­a­tion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (BOATT) is as­sur­ing bar pa­trons and mem­bers of the pub­lic that all the nec­es­sary steps have been un­der­tak­en to en­sure all mem­ber­ship out­lets are ful­ly COVID 19 com­pli­ant.

The Min­istry of Health is record­ing three (3) new deaths from COVID-19 in its lat­est clin­i­cal up­date.

The North Cen­tral Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty (NCRHA) has es­tab­lished an­oth­er step-down / tran­si­tion fa­cil­i­ty, for the treat­ment of COVID-19 pa­tients.

As of Oc­to­ber 8th, To­ba­go has an ad­di­tion­al 24 ad­di­tion­al COVID cas­es, push­ing the to­tal num­ber of in­fec­tions on the is­land to 102.

No new deaths are re­port­ed in this morn­ing’s COVID-19 up­date from the Min­istry of Health, how­ev­er, three (3) ad­di­tion­al per­sons have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19.

Ac­cord­ing to the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness, and Fam­i­ly De­vel­op­ment, five of those cas­es are new.

The na­tion­al to­tal for ac­tive COVID-19 cas­es has climbed again to­day, with an ad­di­tion­al 22 per­sons test­ing pos­i­tive for the dis­ease, re­ports the lat­est up­date from the Min­istry of Health.

The na­tion­al death toll for COVID-19 has risen again, fol­low­ing the pass­ing of two more pa­tients—both el­der­ly males, one of whom had no pre-ex­ist­ing med­ical con­di­tions.

Health Min­is­ter Ter­rence Deyals­ingh says this coun­try’s dai­ly COVID-19 sta­tis­tics are on the de­cline.

There are 16 new pos­i­tive cas­es of COVID-19 record­ed in the lat­est up­date from the Min­istry of Health.
