No new deaths are re­port­ed in this morn­ing’s COVID-19 up­date from the Min­istry of Health, how­ev­er, three (3) ad­di­tion­al per­sons have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19.

This brings the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es to 1,801, while the num­ber of deaths re­mains at 81 per­sons.

The Min­istry as­sures that these three new pa­tients will be processed for ad­mis­sion at the dis­cre­tion of the CMOHs, in ac­cor­dance with es­tab­lished pro­to­cols.

In oth­er high­lights from the Min­istry’s re­port for this morn­ing, Mon­day 5 Oc­to­ber 2020:

● Four (4) per­sons have been dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties. This brings the to­tal num­ber of per­sons dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties up to 1,097.

● There are 37 re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es, name­ly those per­sons who were pre­vi­ous­ly COVID-19 pos­i­tive and in self-iso­la­tion at home, and who sub­se­quent­ly met the dis­charge cri­te­ria and were re­leased from self-iso­la­tion. The to­tal num­ber of re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es to date is 1,787.

● One hun­dred (100) COVID-19 pos­i­tive pa­tients are still hos­pi­talised.

● Eleven (11) COVID-19 pos­i­tive pa­tients are still in step-down / tran­si­tion fa­cil­i­ties.
