T&T De­fence Force FC and new coach Den­sill Theobald will put their 100 per cent win­ning record on the line when they come up against MIC Cen­tral FC Re­boot in their top-of-the-ta­ble T&T Pre­mier Foot­ball League (TTPFL) Tier I clash at the Phase II Recre­ation Ground, La Hor­quet­ta from 8 pm on Fri­day night.

Led by the pro­lif­ic form of T&T in­ter­na­tion­al Kevin Moli­no, who has net­ted a league-best eight goals from six match­es and Isa­iah Lea­cock with sev­en, the re­vamped De­fence Force has rat­tled off six straight wins to kick­start the sea­son for a max­i­mum of 18 points, three clear of Cen­tral FC.

The wins for 42-year-old first-year coach Theobald's De­fence Force in­clude scor­ing 12 goals in their last two out­ings, a 6-3 win over de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons AC Port-of-Spain and 6-2 against Cale­do­nia AIA with back-to-back hat-tricks from Moli­no to in­stall them­selves as ear­ly favourites for the league ti­tle.

Cen­tral FC, com­prised main­ly of for­mer La Hor­quet­ta Rangers play­ers, has al­so made an im­pres­sive start to the sea­son with one de­feat in their six match­es, a 2-1 loss to AC Port-of-Spain in Round Four, but has since re­bound­ed with vic­to­ries against 1976 FC Phoenix, 6-2, and 2-1 over Club San­do Moru­ga re­spec­tive­ly in their last two match­es.

Two hours ear­li­er in the open­er at La Hor­quet­ta, fifth-ranked Mis­cel­la­neous Po­lice FC with ten points and AC Port-of-Spain, two points in the third spot, will lock horns with the knowl­edge that a de­feat for ei­ther will see them falling fur­ther be­hind in the ti­tle race.

The Law­men will en­ter the clash on the back of a 6-0 ham­mer­ing of Phoenix FC, while AC Port-of-Spain re­bound­ed from the heavy loss to the Army/Coast-Guard com­bi­na­tion with a 4-1 spank­ing of Point Fortin Civic.
