Two es­tate con­sta­bles from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) were in­volved in a road­side fight in Cou­va on Thurs­day af­ter­noon WASA and po­lice have con­firmed.

A 47-sec­ond video cir­cu­lat­ing on so­cial me­dia, cap­tioned “Po­lice Of­fi­cers Stop to Fight Each Oth­er,” showed two men in dark-coloured uni­forms brawl­ing at the road­side as ve­hi­cles passed.

Dur­ing the al­ter­ca­tion, a woman po­lice of­fi­cer in­ter­vened and sep­a­rat­ed the men.

WASA’s cor­po­rate com­mu­ni­ca­tions de­part­ment con­firmed they are aware of the video and have launched an in­ter­nal in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Cen­tral Di­vi­sion po­lice al­so said they are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dent.
