Two men have been ar­rest­ed and charged in con­nec­tion with a dou­ble mur­der in Ari­ma ear­li­er this month, which po­lice said stemmed from an ar­gu­ment be­tween one of the sus­pects and the vic­tims mo­ments be­fore the at­tack.

Po­lice said the sus­pects, aged 20 and 28, were ar­rest­ed last Fri­day and Sat­ur­day, re­spec­tive­ly, for the mur­ders of Ju­nior Castil­lo and Kei­th Ben­jamin Spencer on Au­gust 22.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said, based on in­for­ma­tion re­ceived, one of the men re­port­ed­ly got in­to an ar­gu­ment with Castil­lo and Spencer, who were lim­ing at a bar near the cor­ner of Queen and Far­fan Streets, and called for one of his ac­com­plices, who ar­rived short­ly af­ter.

Po­lice said the ac­com­plice, who was armed with a gun, shot both Spencer and Castil­lo, killing them.

Footage of the at­tack was record­ed on se­cu­ri­ty cam­eras at the cor­ner of the streets.

Po­lice said in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­ceived ad­vice from the Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions (DPP) on Sun­day to charge the sus­pects with the dou­ble mur­der, as well as pos­ses­sion of a firearm and pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion.

Po­lice said both sus­pects are from Cleaver Heights, Ari­ma, and were known to po­lice as af­fil­i­ates of a gang.
