Hunter Paul Cam­po has been found alive af­ter go­ing miss­ing in the Guayagua­yare for­est over the week­end.

Cam­po, 49, was lo­cat­ed in Rio Claro ear­li­er to­day af­ter mak­ing his way through the for­est over a 70-hour pe­ri­od.

The up­date was con­firmed by Hunters Search and Res­cue Cap­tain Val­lence Ramb­harat.

Cam­po went hunt­ing on Fri­day night in an area known as Main­field with a friend from Va­len­cia. It was his first time hunt­ing in that lo­ca­tion.

On Sat­ur­day morn­ing, sev­er­al oth­er hunters fa­mil­iar with the ter­rain joined them.

Ac­cord­ing to his friend, at about 2.30 pm on Sat­ur­day, they fin­ished hunt­ing for the day and be­gan head­ing back to their camp­site.

They stopped a short dis­tance away to wait on the re­main­ing hunters to emerge from the for­est. Af­ter the oth­ers ar­rived, Cam­po’s friend walked back to the camp­site ahead of the group.

He lat­er heard hunters call­ing out to Cam­po and was told that Cam­po had walked back in­to the for­est alone. The friend said Cam­po ap­peared nor­mal and did not show any signs of dis­tress.

Hunters and vil­lagers be­gan search­ing short­ly af­ter and con­tin­ued their ef­forts up to yes­ter­day morn­ing.
