Hunter Paul Campo has been found alive after going missing in the Guayaguayare forest over the weekend.
Campo, 49, was located in Rio Claro earlier today after making his way through the forest over a 70-hour period.
The update was confirmed by Hunters Search and Rescue Captain Vallence Rambharat.
Campo went hunting on Friday night in an area known as Mainfield with a friend from Valencia. It was his first time hunting in that location.
On Saturday morning, several other hunters familiar with the terrain joined them.
According to his friend, at about 2.30 pm on Saturday, they finished hunting for the day and began heading back to their campsite.
They stopped a short distance away to wait on the remaining hunters to emerge from the forest. After the others arrived, Campo’s friend walked back to the campsite ahead of the group.
He later heard hunters calling out to Campo and was told that Campo had walked back into the forest alone. The friend said Campo appeared normal and did not show any signs of distress.
Hunters and villagers began searching shortly after and continued their efforts up to yesterday morning.
