Several people were arrested, and officers seized firearms, ammunition, and large quantities of cannabis during anti-crime operations across multiple areas.
In Toco, police carried out a warrant exercise between 4 pm and 10 pm on Saturday, March 1st, leading to the arrest of five people on outstanding warrants.
Meanwhile, in the Western Division, officers raided a home in Glencoe between 10 am and 4 pm, finding 1.6 kilogrammes of cannabis hidden in a closet. The suspect present at the time was arrested. Later that night, between midnight and 3 am, officers searched a property on Second Street, Morne Coco Road, Petit Valley, where they found a white crocus bag containing a micro-conversion kit and 10 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.
In Caura, a drug eradication operation between 1 am and 4 am led to the arrest of a 30-year-old woman after police found a large stash of cannabis and three pieces of camouflage clothing in her home.
In Valsayn, officers discovered 3.7 kilogrammes of cannabis during a search at Spring Lands Avenue between 12 noon and 5 pm.
And in Sangre Grande, police arrested a 26-year-old man for suspected gang-related activities between 6 pm and 9 pm. They also found a revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition at Zion Trace.
Investigations into all cases are ongoing.
