Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing a chop­ping in­ci­dent which left a Gas­par­il­lo man se­ri­ous­ly in­jured.

Of­fi­cers of the Gas­par­il­lo Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed to a re­port of a wound­ing around 9.45 pm on Wednes­day and found the vic­tim ly­ing on the road at Guaracara Street in Gas­par­il­lo.

The man was un­con­scious and bleed­ing from chop wounds to his head, face and legs. Po­lice were in­formed by a passer­by that a man was seen walk­ing on the road­way with a cut­lass. The am­bu­lance took the vic­tim to the hos­pi­tal, but po­lice were un­able to in­ter­view him be­cause he was heav­i­ly se­dat­ed.
