An elderly female patient with pre-existing health conditions is the latest person in this country to die from COVID-19, bringing the national total to 65.
Confirmation has come from the Ministry of Health, in its latest update for Sunday 20 September 2020.
The Health Ministry also is reporting another thirty-five (35) persons testing positive for COVID-19. These latest cases bring the total number of active cases to 2,083.
Meanwhile, the Ministry notes that the numbers of samples submitted to CARPHA has passed 29,000, as coronavirus testing continues apace in Trinidad and Tobago.
Overall, some 3,901 persons have tested positive for the coronavirus since testing began earlier this year, at the start of the outbreak.
