A 46-year-old businessman was stabbed to death following an argument with a woman he was in a relationship with at her Chaguanas home on Sunday night.
Police said Gregory Reece visited the woman at her Oak Avenue, Woodford Gardens apartment shortly before 7 pm, when an altercation broke out between them.
During the dispute, Reece was stabbed in the chest.
Residents, hearing the commotion, alerted police and emergency services. Officers from the Chaguanas Criminal Investigation Department (CID), who were on patrol nearby at the time, also responded.
On arrival, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) found Reece showing no signs of life. A district medical officer later visited the scene and pronounced him dead.
A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and remained in custody up to yesterday morning.
Reece was the manager of Trinidad and Tobago Dental.
