The beheaded body of a man was discovered near Damian’s Bay on the afternoon of February 6, police have confirmed.
According to a senior police source, the victim, described as a man of African descent, was found with his hands bound behind his back and his head severed. The head was placed next to the body on the sand.
The body was clad only in a three quarter denim three quarters pants.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear, and efforts are underway to identify the victim and determine a motive.
Police are continuing investigations.
