A 13-year-old Form One stu­dent of Tran­quil­li­ty Gov­ern­ment Sec­ondary School was robbed of an iPhone 12 on the com­pound on Mon­day by three masked in­di­vid­u­als wear­ing the school’s uni­form.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred around 11 am in the Form One block of the school, lo­cat­ed on Vic­to­ria Av­enue, Port-of-Spain. 

The young stu­dent was ap­proached by the three sus­pects.

The as­sailants stole the stu­dent’s iPhone 12, val­ued at $3,200, from his pants pock­et be­fore run­ning down the cor­ri­dor and flee­ing the school premis­es.

Of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to the scene and have launched an in­ves­ti­ga­tion. 

A re­port has al­so been filed with the Cy­ber Crime Unit to as­sist in track­ing the stolen de­vice.

Pres­i­dent of the Na­tion­al Par­ent Teach­ers As­so­ci­a­tion, Wal­ter Stew­art ex­pressed deep con­cern over the in­ci­dent. —Rhon­dor Dowlat
