Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said officers made 13 arrests during a series of strategic operations in the Southern Division yesterday.
These operations, conducted between 10 am and 6 pm in the Princes Town Police District, targeted priority offenders and focused on firearm-related crimes, kidnappings, robberies, and shootings, the TTPS said in a release.
Officers arrested four suspects for various offences, including kidnapping, robbery with violence, possession of ammunition, and housebreaking. A stolen vehicle, used in a recent kidnapping and robbery, was also recovered.
Also, a joint operation between 2 pm and 6 pm in the Princes Town and Tableland districts resulted in the arrest of six more individuals, three for crimes such as drug possession and weapon offences, and three for outstanding warrants.
In San Fernando, between 3 pm and 8 pm, two priority offenders were arrested for marijuana possession, and 278 grams of marijuana were seized.
On 16th January, officers discovered a concealed revolver in a bushy area on Bougainvillea Avenue, Tarodale.
