​Po­lice women’s and men’s teams, along with the Bon Air Po­lice Youth Club (PYC), emerged as cham­pi­ons in their re­spec­tive di­vi­sions as ac­tion in the Lystra Lewis Port-of-Spain Net­ball League (LL­POSNL) re­sumed on Sat­ur­day at the Wood­brook Youth Fa­cil­i­ty.

The “law women” won the A’s Di­vi­sion in dom­i­nat­ing fash­ion, while their fel­low of­fi­cers topped the Men’s Di­vi­sion. Bon Air PYC claimed the ti­tle in the Ki­wi Di­vi­sion.

​In the A’s Di­vi­sion, Po­lice A1 met Bermudez Unit­ed in the fi­nal, eas­ing to a 14-1 vic­to­ry to clinch its first ti­tle in the 87th edi­tion of the League. This fol­lowed a hard-fought 12-11 win over Soul City in the semi­fi­nals and a 15-5 de­feat of Car­di­nals in the pre­vi­ous round. Bermudez’s path to the fi­nal in­clud­ed wins against Spar­toms (6-4), Po­lice A2 (8-3), and a nar­row 7-6 semi­fi­nal vic­to­ry over Po­lice Net­ball Youth Club (PNYC).

​In the Men’s Di­vi­sion, Po­lice se­cured the ti­tle with a nail-bit­ing 10-9 win against Mar­vel­lites in the fi­nal. Ear­li­er in the com­pe­ti­tion, Po­lice record­ed wins over Spar­toms (12-9) and De­fence Force (13-11). Ear­li­er, the Mar­vel­lites unit de­feat­ed Hori­zon, 12-4, to ad­vance to the fi­nale

​The Ki­wi Di­vi­sion saw Bon Air PYC up­stage Spar­toms 7-0 in the fi­nal. The cham­pi­on’s road to the tro­phy in­clud­ed vic­to­ries against Uni­ty (4-0), San Juan Jabloteh (by de­fault), and Barataria PYC (5-3).

​The two oth­er knock­out ti­tles in the LL­POSNL were de­cid­ed in late March. On March 25, Uni­ver­si­ty of the South­ern Caribbean (USC) de­feat­ed Hori­zon 14-9 to claim the In­ters Di­vi­sion ti­tle. Three days lat­er, Bon Air PYC was crowned the B Di­vi­sion win­ner af­ter beat­ing Barataria Net­ters 10-7.
