Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege San Fer­nan­do, led by the out­stand­ing per­for­mance from Levi Ghan­ny, se­cured their place in the fi­nal of the Sec­ondary Schools Crick­et In­ter­col tour­na­ment fol­low­ing a com­mand­ing 72-run win against Vish­nu Boys Hin­du Col­lege.

The thrilling en­counter took place at the Bri­an Lara Crick­et Acad­e­my in Tarou­ba, San Fer­nan­do on Thurs­day evening, with Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege (Pres San­do) inch­ing clos­er to com­plet­ing a re­mark­able dou­ble—hav­ing al­ready claimed the league ti­tle and eye­ing their third In­ter­col crown in four years.

Opt­ing to bat first, Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege got off to a shaky start, los­ing open­er Riyaad Mo­hammed in the sec­ond over for six runs. How­ev­er, this set­back opened the door for what can on­ly be de­scribed as a piv­otal part­ner­ship be­tween Ghan­ny and Shaan Ram­ta­hal. The pair stead­ied the in­nings. The duo put to­geth­er a valu­able 57-run stand for the sec­ond wick­et. From there, Pre­sen­ta­tion’s bowl­ing at­tack tight­ened con­sid­er­ably. Reeyad Per­sad emerged as the star bowler, claim­ing im­pres­sive fig­ures of 4 for 17. Vish­nu Boys crum­bled fur­ther un­der pres­sure, los­ing 7 wick­ets for just 98 runs.

In the end, Vish­nu Boys were bowled out for a mod­est 114 in just 17 and a half overs, hand­ing Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege San Fer­nan­do a com­pre­hen­sive 72-run vic­to­ry.
