National swimmer Jada Chatoor missed out on a spot in the women's 500 yards freestyle heats on the opening day of the 2025 NCAA Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Centre in Greensboro, North Carolina, Wednesday.
This was after the 22-year-old Chatoor placed 38th overall of 45 swimmers in a time of five minutes, 04.99 minutes.
Thursday, Chatoor will be back in the pool when she lines up as one of 50 participants in the women's 200 yards preliminary heats while on Friday she is expected to be part of their 800 yards freestyle relay quartet and on Saturday, the women's 400 yards freestyle relay.
Chatoor is among a 40-member Emory University swimming & diving team roster that is representing the Blue & Gold at the 2025 NCAA Championships, 22 from the women's programme and 18 from the men.
The Emory women will try to improve upon their sixth-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championships. The Eagles enter the meet ranked second in the March edition of the CSCAA Coaches Poll, with the women slotted at the third spot.
