Chatoor 38th in Div III 500 yards freestyle heats

Na­tion­al swim­mer Ja­da Cha­toor missed out on a spot in the women's 500 yards freestyle heats on the open­ing day of the 2025 NCAA Cham­pi­onships at the Greens­boro Aquat­ic Cen­tre in Greens­boro, North Car­oli­na, Wednes­day.

This was af­ter the 22-year-old Cha­toor placed 38th over­all of 45 swim­mers in a time of five min­utes, 04.99 min­utes.

Thurs­day, Cha­toor will be back in the pool when she lines up as one of 50 par­tic­i­pants in the women's 200 yards pre­lim­i­nary heats while on Fri­day she is ex­pect­ed to be part of their 800 yards freestyle re­lay quar­tet and on Sat­ur­day, the women's 400 yards freestyle re­lay.

Cha­toor is among a 40-mem­ber Emory Uni­ver­si­ty swim­ming & div­ing team ros­ter that is rep­re­sent­ing the Blue & Gold at the 2025 NCAA Cham­pi­onships, 22 from the women's pro­gramme and 18 from the men.

The Emory women will try to im­prove up­on their sixth-place fin­ish at the 2024 NCAA Cham­pi­onships. The Ea­gles en­ter the meet ranked sec­ond in the March edi­tion of the CSCAA Coach­es Poll, with the women slot­ted at the third spot.
