Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young re­ceived a cour­tesy call from Chargé d’Af­faires at the U.S. Em­bassy, Dr Jenifer Nei­d­hart de Or­tiz on Tues­day morn­ing.

It comes as Young trav­els to Ja­maica on Wednes­day where he will have a bi­lat­er­al meet­ing with Unit­ed States Sec­re­tary of State, Mar­co Ru­bio.

“This morn­ing’s talks cen­tred on con­tin­u­ing to deep­en the bi­lat­er­al re­la­tion­ship be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed States.

Min­is­ter of For­eign and CARI­COM Af­fairs, Sen­a­tor the Hon. Dr Amery Browne was al­so present at to­day’s meet­ing,” a state­ment post­ed on the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter’s Face­book page stat­ed.

Dr Nei­d­hart de Or­tiz was ac­com­pa­nied by Deputy Chief of Mis­sion Mr Char­lie Fran­ta and Po­lit­i­cal-Eco­nom­ic Chief, Mr Scott Hansen.
