A 23-year-old driver was robbed of his van when he was lured to a field in St Joseph by bandits with the promise of work on Tuesday night.
Police said the man was driving his white H100 van on Queen Street, St Joseph, when men in a gold Nissan X-Trail drove near him and asked if he was looking for work.
The men told the driver that they had items to move from a location on Priest Hill.
The driver went to the area and drove into the yard but was approached by a gunman who ordered him out of the van.
The bandit stole the van as the man made a report to St Joseph Police.
