A To­ba­go man was shot while try­ing to es­cape a gun­man who fired af­ter him while he was lim­ing yes­ter­day.

Po­lice told Guardian Me­dia, Cilon No­ray, 23, a sur­veil­lance tech­ni­cian, was near a Mt Thomas shop around 7 pm when the shoot­ing hap­pened.

Re­ports said a masked gun­man in dark cloth­ing walked up to him and opened fire, forc­ing No­ray to run. He man­aged to es­cape through a near­by gul­ly but soon re­alised he had been shot.

He was treat­ed Scar­bor­ough Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal. Of­fi­cers from Scar­bor­ough CID are con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions
