As­sur­ances are be­ing giv­en by the To­ba­go Polic­ing Di­vi­sion that none of the 25 mur­ders record­ed on the is­land this year have gone cold.

As the year draws clos­er to an end, To­ba­go is fac­ing its blood­i­est year yet, with a record-break­ing num­ber of homi­cides.

A se­nior of­fi­cer from the To­ba­go Homi­cide Bu­reau told Guardian Me­dia that all 25 cas­es re­main ac­tive, al­though some in­ves­ti­ga­tions are pro­gress­ing faster than oth­ers.

How­ev­er, the se­nior cop could not con­firm whether in­ves­ti­ga­tors are close to solv­ing any ad­di­tion­al cas­es.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that so far, on­ly three of To­ba­go’s 25 mur­ders in 2024 have been solved.
