Po­lice ar­rest­ed a 30-year-old Arou­ca man in con­nec­tion with the mur­der of tod­dler Jereem George.

Of­fi­cers de­tained the sus­pect around 10 am on Tues­day, and in­ves­ti­ga­tors are ex­pect­ed to ques­tion him about the crime.

Jereem was asleep at his moth­er Geneiel George’s Chris­t­ian Av­enue Ex­ten­sion, Windy Hill, home last Thurs­day night when a man set fire to the house.

Geneiel and her 14-year-old son tried to res­cue the tod­dler but could not reach him be­cause of the flames.
