Six sus­pects were ar­rest­ed and two firearms and quan­ti­ties of am­mu­ni­tion and nar­cotics seized, dur­ing State of Emer­gency op­er­a­tions in the South­ern and North­ern Di­vi­sions on Wednes­day.

In the South­ern Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers of the Spe­cial Branch South, con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise be­tween 6 am and mid­day on Jan­u­ary 22 at the Debe home of a male sus­pect.

They dis­cov­ered five mag­a­zines. Four men, who were in the house at the time of the ex­er­cise, were ar­rest­ed in con­nec­tion with the find.

Mean­while, of­fi­cers of the Guard and Emer­gency Branch, the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Emer­gency Re­sponse Pa­trol and Ca­nine Branch con­duct­ed an ex­er­cise Val­sayn.

Two male sus­pects were ar­rest­ed for pos­ses­sion of a pis­tol loaded with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 15 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion. A quan­ti­ty of cannabis was al­so seized.

An­oth­er ex­er­cise by of­fi­cers be­tween 9 am and 4 pm, yes­ter­day, off Ca­can­dee Road, Ch­agua­nas, led to the dis­cov­ery of an AR-15 ri­fle, loaded with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing four rounds of am­mu­ni­tion.
