Motorists travelling to and from the ANR Robinson International Airport in Tobago are being advised to expect temporary traffic changes tomorrow for the official opening of the airport’s new Eastern Terminal.
The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago said the arrangements will be in effect from 10 am to 3 pm on October 13.
Under the arrangements announced by the Tobago House of Assembly, Store Bay Local Road, between Gaskin Bay Road and Milford Road, will operate as a one-way route for east-to-west traffic during the affected period.
The Authority said the measures are intended to ensure the safe and orderly movement of vehicles around the airport, minimise traffic congestion and protect motorists, pedestrians and other road users during the opening ceremony.
Motorists, particularly those travelling to and from the airport, are urged to plan their journeys accordingly, allow additional travel time and obey temporary traffic signs and directions issued by officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
The Authority thanked the travelling public and surrounding communities for their understanding and cooperation as Tobago prepares to mark the formal opening of the new Eastern Terminal.
