Nine (9) ad­di­tion­al per­sons have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19, re­ports the Min­istry of Health in its lat­est clin­i­cal up­date.

And ac­cord­ing to the Min­istry, as of this morn­ing, Sun­day 27 Sep­tem­ber 2020, the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es in Trinidad and To­ba­go now stands at 2,017.

The Min­istry al­so ex­plains the nine new pa­tients will be processed for ad­mis­sion at the dis­cre­tion of the Coun­try Med­ical Of­fi­cers of Health (CMOHs).

No new deaths have been record­ed.

In oth­er high­lights from this morn­ing’s clin­i­cal up­date:

●  Twelve (12) per­sons have been dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties.

●  There are thir­ty-sev­en (37) re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es.  Re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es re­fer to per­sons who were pre­vi­ous­ly COVID-19 pos­i­tive and in self-iso­la­tion at home and sub­se­quent­ly met the dis­charge cri­te­ria and were re­leased from self-iso­la­tion.

●  The num­ber of COVID-19 pos­i­tive pa­tients in step-down / tran­si­tion fa­cil­i­ties now stands at 112.

●  The num­ber of COVID-19 pos­i­tive pa­tients in hos­pi­tal is now 102.
