The body of 31-year-old Ameer Ho­sein, who went miss­ing on Jan­u­ary 18, was found in some bush­es in Cara­po yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Ho­sein’s body was found in the same area where his par­tial­ly burnt car was found on Fri­day. Ho­sein, a self-em­ployed farmer and res­i­dent of Fred­er­ick Set­tle­ment, Ca­roni, was last seen leav­ing his girl­friend’s home at Love Lane in Cara­po, to re­turn to his Kay Street home on Jan­u­ary at 3 am.

Po­lice said they re­ceived con­fir­ma­tion that Ho­sein was last seen with his girl­friend and her male rel­a­tives.

Ho­sein’s body will be tak­en to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre, St Lames, where an au­top­sy is ex­pect­ed to be con­duct­ed to de­ter­mine the ac­tu­al cause and time of death.

Any­one with in­for­ma­tion sur­round­ing the cir­cum­stances of Ho­sein’s dis­ap­pear­ance up un­til his body was found is en­cour­aged to con­tact the Ca­roni Po­lice Sta­tion, 999, 555 or 800-TIPS.
