A group of Maracas Fishermen were able to rescue three fellow boaters when their boat overturned on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the three men borrowed an 11 foot long paddle boat to go fishing at Damian Bay, off the North Coast, at around 3.30 pm.
While at the fishing site, the men reportedly caught a large fish they thought was an eel and began to panic, causing the boat to rock and overturned. Boaters nearby saw the commotion and brought them ashore.
Maracas Bay Police were called in, however the three fishermen said they did not need any medical attention.
