One man is expected to appear before the courts today, charged with possession of an imitation firearm and robbery with aggravation.
Guardian Media understands Hercules Baksh was charged with the offences after he was arrested by officers of the Southern Division in connection with a report of robbery with aggravation, which had occurred in the Princes Town district last Saturday (January 25, 2025).
According to official police reports, a female victim reported to police that she was robbed of a quantity of cigarettes and cash while at her St. Croix business place around 10:30 am on January 25th.
Investigations resulted in the arrest of a male suspect ten minutes later who was captured in a bushy area.
Police officers also seized the stolen goods, cash and the imitation firearm.
Investigations are ongoing.
