A fire broke out at Up Top Bar & Lounge in Crown Point, Tobago on Wednesday evening, severely damaging the lounge and nearby businesses.
Guardian Media understands the blaze started around 6:10 pm and may have been caused by a deep fryer in the kitchen. It spread quickly, affecting nearby businesses.
Firefighters responded but were unable to stop the flames from causing significant destruction.
The damage is still being assessed, and officials believe the fire was accidental.
Investigations are ongoing.
