One day after he and his wife were released from State custody, businessman Dominic Hadeed was seen publicly for the first time yesterday.
Under bright sunny skies, Hadeed was seen chatting with friends and family and mingling with other people who were at his Bayshore, Westmoorings home at the time of Guardian Media’s visit.
One of his visitors yesterday was businessman Andrew Gabriel.
The Hadeeds were released from the Golden Grove Prison in Arouca on Thursday, after Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander revoked their Preventive Detention Orders (PDOs), which arose after the T&T Police Service claimed to have intelligence alleging they were conspiring to murder the Prime Minister and senior Government officials.
However, after one month in custody, they were released without charge.
Hours after their release, they were warmly welcomed back home as their children, family, friends and even members of the faith reconnected with them for much of that evening well into the night.
During Guardian Media’s visit to the Hadeeds’ Pine Avenue home yesterday, workers were observed using welding torches while conducting some work on the property’s front gate.
Several vehicles were also seen entering and leaving the residence.
However, Guardian Media was told by the security guard that Hadeed was not prepared to speak when a query was made.
No neighbours were visible along the street at the time of Guardian Media’s visit, as the community remained generally quiet with no police presence.
