Pro­gres­sive De­mo­c­ra­t­ic Pa­tri­ots po­lit­i­cal leader Wat­son Duke is call­ing on all To­bag­o­ni­ans ag­griev­ed by the Far­ley Au­gus­tine-led To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly to be pre­pared to treat mem­bers of the ex­ec­u­tive in the same man­ner as he was treat­ed.

Duke made the com­ments this morn­ing, af­ter he claimed he was vic­tim­ized and bul­lied by the Pre­sid­ing Of­fi­cer of the As­sem­bly’s Leg­is­la­ture, Ab­by Tay­lor, dur­ing a Ple­nary Sit­ting on Thurs­day.

Duke was es­cort­ed out of the Cham­ber by po­lice of­fi­cers af­ter he re­fused to re­main qui­et over con­cerns of in­sults by an­oth­er mem­ber.

Speak­ing on CNC3's The Morn­ing Brew show on Fri­day, Duke said he will not take the in­ci­dent light­ly.

“The Pre­sid­ing Of­fi­cer act­ed out­side her lim­its,” he as­sert­ed.  “She is not the Speak­er of the House or Pres­i­dent of the Sen­ate, and she does not have sweep­ing pow­ers.  The rules do not pro­vide for that.”

And dur­ing a press con­fer­ence on Fri­day morn­ing, the PDP leader promised that he will work to en­sure the po­lit­i­cal death of the To­ba­go Peo­ple Par­ty.

“I’m say­ing to all To­bag­o­ni­ans, gath­er up the lit­tle fight you have left in your bel­ly and get ready to vote them out. Vote them out! Get rid of them! Get rid of the en­tire slate. They must not win one sin­gle seat,” he said, “and none of them must get more than 100 votes.”

Duke vowed to “right the wrong” he be­lieves he cre­at­ed when he se­lect­ed the group to deal with To­ba­go af­fairs in the 2021 THA elec­tion.
