Of­fi­cers of the North­ern East­ern Di­vi­sion (NED) seized quan­ti­ties of il­le­gal nar­cotics dur­ing an­ti-crime op­er­a­tions on Thurs­day.

Of­fi­cers con­duct­ed a search in a va­cant, bushy lot lo­cat­ed in El So­cor­ro Ex­ten­sion.

Dur­ing the search, a black plas­tic bag con­tain­ing two clear plas­tic bags, which weighed 133.3 grams of mar­i­jua­na was dis­cov­ered.

The ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed be­tween 10:00 PM on Jan­u­ary 23 and 2:00 AM on Jan­u­ary 24 with­in the Barataria Po­lice Dis­trict.

The op­er­a­tion was led by Snr. Supt. Ed­wards, Supt Birch, and ASP Cal­len­der, co­or­di­nat­ed by In­spec­tor Ram­s­ingh. Sgt. May­nard, along with oth­er of­fi­cers from the Barataria Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment and the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force.
