An 18-year-old me­chan­ic from Diego Mar­tin was shot and killed while work­ing in Point Cumana, Care­nage, on Sat­ur­day night.

Po­lice re­port­ed that Ra­heem Velox, of Rox­bor­ough Street, Diego Mar­tin, was at­tempt­ing to park a grey Hyundai Tuc­son on Fitza­llen Street, La Hor­quette Branch Road, Point Cumana. He was be­ing guid­ed by an­oth­er teenag­er when a gun­man, dressed in a straw hat, black hood­ie, and ¾ pants, ap­proached and opened fire be­fore flee­ing the scene.

No mo­tive for the killing has been pro­vid­ed, but po­lice sus­pect it may have been a case of mis­tak­en iden­ti­ty.
