An elevated stage may be used for the first time in years for Chaguanas Carnival 2025. This was announced by Rene Bailey, the chairman of the Chaguanas Borough Carnival Committee.
Bailey spoke with Guardian Media following a meeting with stakeholders at the Chaguanas Borough Corporation’s administrative complex on Monday night.
Bailey said the stage should cost close to $200,000, but she expects more estimates and remarked that the Carnival committee is working aggressively towards attaining this goal.
When celebrations moved from the narrow Chaguanas Main Road to Ramsaran Street the roadway was used as the parade venue.
