A Carenage man has been charged with the 2023 murder of Lianna Kamila Slater, following extensive investigations into the matter by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region One.
The TTPS says Triston Campbell, 37, of Smith Hill, was charged with the offence on July 31st, 2024, following advice from Sabrina Dougdeen-Jaglal, the deputy director of public prosecutions.
Slater, 36, of Carenage, was found dead in a river in the district on July 22nd 2023. Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Ramjag, Insp. Mongroo, and Insp. (Ag.) Ramsumair, all of HBI Region One, together with various agencies.
On Friday 6th September, 2024, WPC Prince also of HBI Region One, executed a warrant on Triston Campbell, at the Carrera Prison, where he is presently detained for another offence and was formally charged with the offence of murder.
