A Cara­pichaima man was burnt be­yond recog­ni­tion af­ter his BMW flipped and burst in­to flames ear­ly yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Nicholas Nigel Bis­soon, 25, of Ablack Trace, Beau­car­ro Road, Cara­pichaima, died in the ac­ci­dent which oc­curred around 3.15 am on the Churchill Roo­sevelt High­way (CRH), El So­cor­ro.

The grad­u­ate of Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege, Ch­agua­nas, was dri­ving his white BMW east along the high­way when he crashed in­to the con­crete bar­ri­ers on the me­di­an.

Eye­wit­ness­es said the car flipped sev­er­al times and then burst in­to flames with Bis­soon trapped in­side. Mo­torists who stopped to as­sist could on­ly look on help­less­ly un­til fire and po­lice of­fi­cials ar­rived on the scene.

The Alum­ni As­so­ci­a­tion of Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege, Ch­agua­nas, is­sued a state­ment mourn­ing his pass­ing with a pic­ture of a smil­ing Bis­soon in his grad­u­a­tion robe.

The trib­ute read, “It is with a heavy heart we share the news of the re­cent pass­ing of one of our 2018 grad­u­ates Mr Nicholas Bis­soon. Our con­do­lences go out to his fam­i­ly and friends as we say our prayers for one of our de­part­ed broth­er. Eter­nal rest grant un­to him, O Lord, and let per­pet­u­al light shine up­on him. May his soul and the souls of all the faith­ful­ly de­part­ed, through the mer­cy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
