Eleven persons were arrested and four firearms and quantities of ammunition and narcotics were seized by officers during ongoing anticrime exercises conducted in the Tobago, Southern and Western Divisions.
In the first exercise, officers conducted several searches on Thursday, which resulted in the seizure of one Taurus pistol and the arrest of three persons, ages 17 to 35, all of the area.
A 26-year-old man was held in connection with a report of robbery with aggravation and wounding with Intent and a 20-year-old farmer was held on robbery enquiries.
Meanwhile, in the Southern Division, four suspects, all of the Pleasantville district, were arrested when a firearm and quantities of ammunition, cannabis and cocaine were found hidden in their home.
The suspects, ages 22 to 46, are expected to be charged with possession of firearm, possession of cannabis and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
A Marabella man was also arrested during the exercise for possession of cannabis.
In the Western Division, Task Force officers conducted an exercise on Thursday during which they proceeded to the Carenage district and conducted a search.
The search resulted in the discovery of one pistol loaded with a firearm containing nine rounds of ammunition.
In a similar exercise, this time in the Diego Martin district, a 23-year-old man was arrested for possession of quantities of cannabis and cocaine, while officers conducted a search of a forested area, where they found 23 rounds of ammunition and a quantity of cannabis.
