Majority state-owned First Citizens Group has appointed Jason Julien as its new group CEO.
Julien, who was previously deputy CEO, replaces Karen Darbasie, who served as group CEO of First Citizens for nearly 10 years, as her appointment was with effect from April 7, 2015.
In a notice on the website of the T&T Stock Exchange and in local newspapers, First Citizens said its board took the decision to appoint Julien on March 28.
He graduated from the University of the West Indes with a BSc in management studies and possesses an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
The group declared after-tax profit of $956.9 million in its financial year ended September 30, 2024.
