Reaaz Shah has re­signed as Head of Trea­sury & For­eign Ex­change at ANSA Mer­chant Bank.

Ac­cord­ing to a no­tice post­ed to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Stock Ex­change on Mon­day, Shah's res­ig­na­tion took ef­fect on June 1, 2026

The no­tice al­so con­firmed that Sean Achong has been ap­point­ed Act­ing Head of Trea­sury and For­eign Ex­change at the bank.

The Bank said Achong will act in the role un­til a for­mal ap­point­ment is made.

At the bank's an­nu­al gen­er­al meet­ing a cou­ple weeks ago, the bank an­nounced it had record­ed $246 mil­lion in af­ter-tax prof­its, which rep­re­sent­ed 46 per cent growth year-on-year.

The Bank al­so stat­ed it would be plac­ing strong em­pha­sis on tar­get­ed mar­ket ex­pan­sion. While main­tain­ing its do­mes­tic pres­ence, the in­sti­tu­tion is al­so seek­ing to deep­en its re­gion­al foot­print, par­tic­u­lar­ly in Bar­ba­dos, where it al­ready op­er­ates.
