Professional make-up artist (MUA) Reya Gosein’s heart belongs to the beauty industry.

She started her make-up journey in the early months of 2011 and continued to build her style and techniques over the years. The evolution of make-up over the years caught her attention and sparked her interest. “I was actually on the career path of being in the corporate world, but I always say that God called, and I answered,” she said.

“Umpteen years later, I love the path that I am on, all the places it has taken me, all of the beautiful souls that I get to meet and interact with, and the joy that I can bring along the way for everyone’s special occasions that I am a part of.”

While Gosein loves all looks, her absolute favourite would be those with intense and vibrant colours. Alongside her make-up artistry journey, Gosein and her mum opened a cosmetics store, Tres Belle Cosmetique.

“We’ve been a local supplier of make-up products and tools for the last 13 years as well,” she added. “We are no longer a store front as of 2020 but still provide an array of products that are accessible for purchase via our website, www.tresbellecosmetique.com”.

Gosein shares her recommendations for the holiday season with WE!

December, the month of holiday parties, company dinners, family events, and much more! I’m positive all of you ladies have already begun putting aside those gorgeous dresses and shoes, but what about your make-up, right? Don’t be alarmed; we got you covered!

Here are a few stunning tips to give you the “WOW FACTOR” this season:

1. Dramatic Smokey Eye: This look is traditional and goes well with any and every party dress. In addition, this look pairs well with ANY lip colour of your preference.

2. Pop of Sparkle: Yes! Our favourite—GLITTER! The beautiful thing about glitter is that you can add it to any eyeshadow look, a little or a lot! Even applying a glitter eyeliner to a matte eyeshadow application gives your look a “pop of sparkle.”

3. Fiery Red: Most, if not all, women have that one HOT AND FIERY RED lipstick to match the season. This is your chance to show off those luscious red lips. Go bold!

4. Red Light ... Green Light ... Do you know red and green are a perfect match for the holidays? Because opposites attract! Red and green are what we call “complementary colours.” They create a strong contrast when paired together. Example: green dress, red lips!

5. Nude or Plum? The simplicity of a nude or gold-toned eyeshadow application with nude lips to complement is also a statement. Sometimes less is more! You can even add an intense winged liner to this look, which is an eye-opener to many. Another lip colour that can be replaced is that special PLUM lipstick that can also create a jaw-dropping look for the season!

I hope these tips help you create magic with your glam this season.

Happy holidays, dolls!
